Thought: Video of Tug Battle Tesla vs Ford

It has been two weeks since Tesla Cybertruck was presented. Tesla, a company that focus on electric vehicle and renewable energy, just presented their first ever electric truck which they named it Cybertruck.

The design is quite controversial. Not everyone accepts it. For me, it looks sturdy but also intimidating. It is far from what I imagined as futuristic vehicle but I do like its squared body just like I like most of Jeep cars look. As I stated before in my previous post, I love the polished bare metal look rather than painted one. Looks sturdily beautiful.

Soon after the presentation of Cybertruck by Tesla, the video spread on internet rapidly. But not as rapid as its memes. I watched a video from Marques Brownlee, a YouTube content maker who attended in the event. He was also allowed by Tesla to enter and drive with the Cybertruck. I envy him.

Another viral video, which I attached below, a video of tug battle between Tesla Cybertruck and Ford F150 which won by Cybertruck. Some people were debating that it is fake. It seems like Tesla tricked the battle for letting Cybertruck to push pedal first before F150. I don’t think so. But I do agree that the video is not comparing apple to apple. Tesla Cybertruck is 4WD, so it must be compared to 4WD version of Ford truck and both trucks must be equipped with identical tires to eliminate road traction excuses. But I am pretty sure that Cybertruck will still win against 4WD version of Ford truck in tug battle simply because of electric motor’s instant torque.

Video Cybertruck vs F150 Tug Battle

Electric motor has one advantage that internal combustion engine does not have, it is instant torque. Instant torque is the reason why recent locomotives are driven by electric motors. Electric motor accelerates better at low speed because at low speed its torque is maximum. Please take a look at torque vs rotation speed charts below. The charts show us that electric motor produces maximum torque at low rpm and the torque started even from zero rpm, while internal combustion engine (ICE) needs some amount initial rpm to output torque.

The reason why internal combustion engine cannot produce torque at zero rpm is illustrated below. At zero rpm, crankshaft must be not rotating. If crankshaft is not rotating then piston is not stroking. If piston is not stroking then there are no intake and exhaust, means no combustion, no gas is used, no power is produced, no torque.

Image Internal Combustion Engine Cycle

Now back to the tug war topic. I believe Tesla did not trick the battle. They did not let Cybertruck to push pedal first before F150. It looks like that because F150’s internal combustion engine have to reach amount of rpm before it start to pull while Cybertruck’s electric motor already started pulling since zero rpm.

An introduction of my Lynskey R260

this is a very late introduction, actually

One year has been passed since I got Lynskey R260 rim brake frame. My first road bike and also my first titanium bike (I had a steel cross bike before). Got the frame after won an auction on eBay for one third of the retail price. Actually this frame was last year stock that remained at Lynskey warehouse at that time. So they offered it as an auction.

Months before get into the auction, I had read many sources then I found myself tend to get a bike with frame that made from titanium or stainless steel rather than any other kinds of frame. But the price of those two frame successfully made me stayed away until the day I found an auction that I couldn’t resist.

I got the XS size. I was afraid the frame will be too small for me but glad that it is not. need to be mentioned that the size of the frame is in American standard since all Lynskey frame were built in USA. So the small size most likely medium for Asian.

The frame itself made from alloyed of 3% vanadium, 2.5% aluminum, and the rest is titanium. The frame has an industrial milling finish which actually is random direction brushed finish. The result make it shiny without unnecessary glossy. I love the polished bare metal look rather than painted one. Looks sturdy and beautiful. I can’t stop looking at it.

After I got the frame, I started to buy the other components. I completed the bike with full Shimano 105 R7000 group set (except for bottom bracket which is Dura-Ace, and cassette which is Ultegra), Columbus fork, Vision wheel set, pair of Continental tire, Ritchey handlebar, Selcof stem, Fizik seatpost, Selle Italie saddle, and a pair of flat mountain pedal. I didn’t find the need to use road pedals yet. Just dislike the idea to attach my shoes to the bike as I want to release myself from the bike as fast as possible when I crash. Of course I don’t want to face any crash, but just in case.

For the front rim brake, I chose black color as it matches black fork. For the rear rim brake I chose silver color as it matches polished titanium color. Small details but it is important.

The scale showed that my complete bike is about eight and half kilograms. I found it is heavier than most of carbon fiber and some of expensive aluminum frame bike with equivalent size. But I am not a weight weenie guy who always cares about being light weight. What I want is a long lasting decent bike that I can hand over to my child or even my grand child later. That was why I tend to have titanium or stainless steel as this two material has strength (and that is isotropic vs carbon that is not isotropic), rust resistant (superior vs steel), UV resistant (superior vs carbon), and comfortable to ride (superior vs aluminum frame).

I never rode other than steel bike before but really love the titanium feeling which some people mentioned it as titanium magic. Not an actual magic, titanium is well known as springy metal because it is strong and flexible enough to dampen small vibration from the road, make it more comfortable to ride.

I use this bike for daily commuting to office and I cycle 25 kilometers a day. Often enough until one day I felt like I lost my balance while walking but had no problem when I am on my bike.

I really want to make a video of my bike’t point of view while riding, but I don’t have any portable action camera yet. Once I had, I definitely will do it on Nikko hilly curve road (in Tochigi prefecture, Japan).

I like the name of the frame, R260. Letter R stands for my name initial and 26 is number I like the most.

Ulas film: Green Room (2016)

Halal food culinary: Shinjuku-Gyoen Ramen Ouka

I had a chance to have a dinner at Shinjuku-Gyoen Ramen Ouka. This restaurant is quite far from JR Shinjuku Station. About twenty minutes walking. But the taste is worth the distance.

Entrance door of the restaurant was really heavy as stated on the door. At first I thought the door was locked but it was not.

If the restaurant is not crowded, there will be a waitress ready to explain everything on the menu directly to you if it is your first time in the restaurant. They just sell set menus and all the menus are halal and some menus are also vegan friendly.

They sell wagyu ramen set that cost around 10000 JPY. I did not ordered wagyu that time as I did not want to spend that much money. But I was told all things about their wagyu. They get the wagyu from a farm which is current champion (first winner) of wagyu championship in Japan. But I forgot the name of the farm. The wagyu championship in Japan is held once in five years, and they won it in 2017.

If you do not know what wagyu is, imagine it as meat of a happy cow. Cow that got extra special attention and treatment from its farmers. Made the cow healthy physically and mentally. The happy cow then produce uniquely marbled soft texture meat. That is why wagyu has a high price tag.

They also sell chicken ramen set which cost around 2000 JPY. I ordered one with fish soup and without spicy level as I wanted to taste the original taste. Vegetable soup option is also available as well.

If you are spicy food lover, you will feel grateful adding some spiciness to your ramen. There are 10 levels of spiciness available. For the highest level 10, special chili from India named bhut jolokia is used. Spicy level 3 they claimed to be as spicy as Indonesian food. But I  highly doubt it. Japanese often overrate the spiciness. What they think spicy often is not spicy at all to me. So I think Indonesian spicy lies on level 5 at least.

The set was served well. A bowl of ramen + chicken + tsukune (Japanese chicken meatball) + half boiled egg + vegetable + rice + soy sauce to be eaten with tsukune. They recommend to eat the noodle first, if it is not enough, pour the remaining ramen soup to the rice and eat the rice with ramen soup.

The taste was delicious. Sorry I was so hungry so I ate immediately and took the photo on the halfway of my meal.

I finished my meal with nothing left, as usual. One of the waitress came and talked to me, said that she did not expect me to eat until that clean because I ordered with large size option and I am just a skinny boy. Oh, if you see me eat for the first time, you probably be surprised. She then gave me a thank card.

At the end of meal they serve desserts. I got dorayaki matcha and organic tea imported from France that they claimed is good for belly.

There was also a waitress that came from the same country as me, Indonesia. Her name is Ayu. She is now studying in Japan. If you go to link provided in ‘more about the restaurant’ below and play an attached youtube video by Ouka TV Tokyo, the girl who wear black hijab in the video was her.

Halal food culinary: Mazilu Lanzhou Beef Noodle

Despite how much I dislike to live in Tokyo which I had described here. I have to visit Tokyo sometimes for some purposes. The last time I visited Tokyo was the last day of the last month, for a full day.

I decided to explore some halal ramen during my period in Tokyo. I had been browsing all halal ramen restaurant around Tokyo two days before my departure to Tokyo, then decided two of them to serve me lunch and dinner meal. One of those two was Mazilu Lanzhou ramen restaurant, a Chinese cuisine, near Jimbocho station. I was so excited about Chinese noodle since I never tasted any of it before.

I arrived in front of the restaurant at lunch time around twelve o’clock. And guess what, about ten people were standing in line waiting their turn to enter the restaurant, and behind me already there about five people, but I just arrived and stood there. A little upset for me. If only I knew this restaurant has this long queue, I probably already chose and explored another halal ramen restaurant. But since I had arrived and trying to find another halal restaurant will probably need longer time than waiting in front of this restaurant, as I had described how hard to find halal restaurant in Japan here. Then let me find out what magical taste that make so many people coming.

This restaurant has only one menu that cost 880 JPY for basic. You can order additional beef and basil but sure with additional price. There are three types of noodle available. Standard type, long thin circular profile, like ordinary noodle. Kishimen type, looks like a thin long tape. And sankaku type, which has three angular shape.

I ordered standard noodle type with all additional that offered to me. I was asked whether I want the ramen served with rayu (chili oil) or not, but I requested to serve it separately. I also requested for large size ramen but unfortunately they just serve one standard size. Okay, they serve only one menu, only one size, but have this much liker.

The kitchen is separated by a clear glass so customer can see the art of making noodle performed by the chefs (they make the noodle in restaurant). Furthermore, since the customers are able to see the making process of the noodle, it makes clean and hygienic impression.

The ramen arrived faster than I expected. It has clear soup that contains thin beef broth with many beef slice and beef mince on top. Tasted great.

The only thing that bothered me was my poor chopsticks skill which caused some soup dropped to my shirt. I suddenly regretted to not ordered triangular type one so I did not have to slurp the noodle and able to use spoon safely.

suggest you, when you do culinary, especially noodle, do not add any ingredient and eat it as it was served for half of the bowl. The other half is up to you, you can add chili, salt or anything you like. Because the essential of culinary is to explore a new original taste, not your taste.

I recommend this restaurant to they who love thin and traditional taste noodle, especially beef taste. This restaurant is the best in offering traditional beef taste without too much additional ingredients.

I do not like to live in Tokyo

Living in Tokyo, for me it is comparable to living in Jakarta. I am not a person who want to live in a big city like Tokyo. There are several reasons that make me stay away from Tokyo.

Too crowded
In Tokyo, having a vehicle is not a good idea. You will never be able to throttle your car fast enough, your call will not be able to run, just walk. And finding a parking slot in Tokyo is difficult. Even if you find one, it cost more. Using public transportation is also not a good idea but slightly better than using a car.

Rush hour
This probably is my number one reason to stay away from Tokyo. Have you tried to get in a train in Tokyo in rush hour? Everybody walk so fast. You can barely change your walk direction. And it can be much worse if you are bringing big luggage.

Do not even think you will get a seat in the train. Even getting space for standing is so hard. Sometimes, the ekiin (station attendant) have to push hard customers so the train door be able to close.

High price rent
An ordinary thing in big city. High price rent just for a small single room.

High price daily products
Another ordinary thing in big city.

Dirtier air
Every time I visit big city like Tokyo, my nose collects more booger (in Bahasa: upil) than usual.

Cannot use my road bike
I use a roadie for commuting. Tokyo is too crowded so I will not be able to go fast with my road bike.

I am glad I am living in a city but also inaka (there are ricefields and farms here). Lively place located just about two hours by train (or fifty minutes by Shinkansen) from Tokyo. I am not living in Tokyo, but sometimes if I have a necessity to go to Tokyo, I will not spend much time and money to get there.

Kesalahan-kesalahan lagu Berbahasa Indonesia

Lagu: “Ambilkan bulan, Bu. Ambilkan bulan, Bu. Yang slalu bersinar di langit.” – Ambilkan Bulan Bu, oleh A T Mahmud.

Simak kedua lagu berikut.

Lagu: “Begadang jangan begadang, kalau tiada artinya.

Kusapa.”

Lagu: “Cahaya hatiku, yakinlah kekal abadi selamanya.” – Masih, oleh Ada band.
Komentar: kekal / abadi / selamanya, pemborosan kata.

– untitled, by anonymous.

Ketiga, toko barang elektronik

Kelima, jual rekaman bunyi-bunyian

The reason why I do not like Marc Marquez

Seeing MotoGP this season, so boring because Marc already has big points gap from others. Marc becomes better and consistent year to year. I never like him, maybe because I’m one of Rossi fanboy. But season 2015 was the moment where I turned from neutral into hating Marc.

In 2015, he disturbed Rossi to win the championship. At first I thought he did that to help Lorenzo as Lorenzo came from the same country with him. But then I realized, he did that not to make Lorenzo a champion but to make Rossi not a champion. That is different. He actually didn’t care who were gonna win the championship as long as it is not Rossi. Here I describe why.

In making records, some special number like 5 times, or 10 times are so special to be remembered. Before season 2015 started, there were no rider who has won the championship 10 times. Then Rossi was the first rider who about to make it happen, and of course he will get all the hype when winning it.

Marc didn’t want it. He really knows he is that good, and if he is consistent, he can win the 10th world champion someday. But he is so egoist. He do not want to be remembered as the second who was able to win championship ten times (after Rossi if Rossi won the 2015 championship). So that was why he disturbed Rossi in 2015.

Download: PenyapuRanjau, a Minesweeper game based on VBA

Since one of my high school friend, Satria Haruda, taught me how to play, minesweeper became the game I played the most. It is fun as I am addicted to it.

I made similar game based on Excel’s VBA. I named it PenyapuRanjau, a MineSweeper translation into my mother tongue language. The game was made on how Windows 7’s Minesweeper works with some modifications. The first click will always be an empty step. So no need to wander at the beginning.

Maybe I am not the only one who loves playing minesweeper, I attached the file here so anyone can download it. And because it is VBA, you do not need any installation. Just make sure you have Microsoft Office Excel (PC version) 2010 or newer, and enable the macro.

If you know how to play please download and try it. Try to use less flag, the less you use flag the more points you will get. Hope you like it. And if you found something wrong about the gameplay please let me know in the comment. I will fix it once I determined the bug. Cheers!
